Following two eccentric electronic singles 'The Doll' and 'Lalala It's The Good Life', 'Black Lipstick' is the third teaser from audiobooks' forthcoming sophomore album Astro Tough. Opening with an uncompromising kick sound and a throbbing synth bass that'll make your insides shake, 'Black Lipstick' is easily the pair's most techno-y offering to date. As it's title alludes, there's a gothiness to the track, which feels like an ode to the underground dance floors of Berlin or indeed of anywhere that might have a hidden sex dungeon. Spread pleasurably across 6+ minutes 'Black Lipstick' provides a labyrinth of rabbit holes to lose yourself down and with David Wrench on the production, it's a tantalising sonic journey.
